Youngsters at a village school have been going yellow all in aid of charity.
Both pupils and staff at St Edward’s Academy in Cheddleton attended school wearing yellow for the day, as part of their fundraising activities for the charity Young Minds.
As well as wearing yellow clothing, youngsters enjoyed listening to yellow related songs, as well as taking part in activities relating to mental health.
A spokesman at the school said: “We have been fundraising for our National Charity – Young Minds by taking part in their Hello Yellow Day.
“On Friday, October 9, children and staff wore yellow.
“They walked into school past yellow balloons, signs and music all about the colour yellow.
“Their favourite was Yellow by Coldplay and Yellow Submarine by the Beetles.”
The spokesman added: “Throughout the day, we participated in various age-related activities about Mental Health (including World Mental Health Day which was on Saturday, October 10), and we raised a total of £197 to send to Young Minds.”
