A man has been seriously injured at a fire in a petrol station in the Moorlands. The incident happened today (Tuesday, July 27) at around 5pm at the petrol station in Brookhouses, Cheadle.

Two air ambulances flew into town to attend the scene.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said shortly after the incident: “A man has been seriously injured following a fire at a petrol station in Cheadle.
“Police were called at 5.10pm this afternoon (Tuesday, July 27) to reports of a man and a car on fire at Knights of Cheadle, The Green.
“The man, believed to be in his 30s, has been taken to the hospital in Manchester by air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
“Officers are investigating the circumstances but believe no one else is involved.
“Local roads were closed until the air ambulance left the scene at approximately 6pm.”
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
