MAISY’S MYSTERY RETURN IS A ‘CHRISTMAS MIRACLE’

OWNER AND DOG RE-UNITED AFTER THREE WEEKS

A TEARFUL dog lover whose pet pooch went missing for three weeks has described her mysterious return as a Christmas miracle.
Nicky Hodkinson feared she’d never see eight-year-old Maisy again when the Lakeland Terrier failed to return to her home in Boundary, near Cheadle.
So the 54-year-old couldn’t believe her eyes when she came home from work to find her beloved pet tied to the front door.
And Nicky, who has had Maisy since she was seven weeks old, still doesn’t know quite how the dog got there – or where she had been.
She said: “It’s absolutely unbelievable – the best Christmas present I could ever have wished for.
“Maisy had been missing for so long that I’d just about given up all hope of ever seeing her again.
“With all the snow and freezing temperatures, I was sure she couldn’t have survived and I’ve been absolutely distraught.
“But when I got back to the house last week, there she was at the front door – it’s a Christmas miracle and I’m still so made up.”
