A COMMUNITY came together at the weekend to celebrate the experiences they share and make new memories. A Mad Hatters Tea Party took place at The Globe Foundation in Uttoxeter on Saturday, June 29. The event, which had received a financial helping hand via the West Midlands Mayor’s Community Weekend initiative, was aimed at celebrating community volunteers in the local area.
A spokesman for The Globe Foundation said: “What an amazing day.
“We had a lovely afternoon tea with help from Sue, our Tesco Uttoxeter Community Team Champion, and enjoyed a great quiz with some nice prizes.
“A big thank you to all our volunteers who helped make it such a lovely event and to our funder The National Lottery Community Fund that supported this event as part of the Mayor’s Community Weekend.”
