A LARGE scale music event, which has set to take place in Uttoxeter this year, has been postponed for another year.
The 2022 Acoustic Festival of Britain had set to take place from May 20 until May 22 at it’s regular venue of Uttoxeter Racecourse.
The annual musical extravaganza, which offers festival goers the opportunity to camp over the weekend if they so wish to, had a cracking line-up of music acts.
However, the team behind the music extravaganza recently took the decision to postpone the 2022 event.
A spokesman for the Acoustic Festival of Britain told the Uttoxeter Echo: “We have had to reschedule, with enough time to get everything in place, we didn’t have enough time for May this year and over half of the roll over tickets were asking for the first weekend of June, as they could not make the dates in May.
“With these requests and the time restrictions, the lack of funds to re market and the few older acts pulling out for Covid reasons, made this year impossible.
They continued: “We have asked for the first weekend of June in 2023, the racecourse management have co-operated and set that aside for us.
“We look to roll over for one final time. As of June 2, 3, and 4 weekend next year 2023.
“Most of the same artists are booked again.”
