A LANDLORD has been left fuming by a report calling time on plans for his village pub.
Pete Wilkinson wants to build a shop and new holiday lodges at the Raddle Inn, Hollington.
More than 40 residents have backed the proposal, which includes an extension to the main pub building.
But planning officers have branded the scheme ‘unsustainable’ and say changes made to a similar application, refused in September, do not overcome previous issues.
Mr Wilkinson this week slammed the council’s ‘inconsistent approach’ to rural businesses and vowed to take the issue to an appeal if permission is refused once more.
His proposal for a single-storey extension to the pub includes improved toilet facilities and a small-scale retail outlet serving families in the area and visitors using tourist accommodation.
He also wants to build three more holiday lodges at the Quarry Bank business – taking the total number to nine.
