FAMILIES in Cheadle will be in for a special treat when the last airworthy Lancaster bomber in the UK flies over the town on Carnival Day.

Tim Cliffe, chairman of the carnival committee, said: “We had news last week that the Lancaster will be doing a fly-past of the carnival site.
“It’s very special because it’s the last airworthy Lancaster in the UK and there are only two in the world these days.
