THE grieving mother of a 12-year-old boy who died three days after contracting flu is renewing her campaign to warn others of a deadly condition.
Dylan Day, from Cellarhead, passed away in January after developing sepsis triggered by a strain of Influenza B.
A tribute fund set up in his memory has now reached almost £17,500 and Dylan’s mum Sarah says some of the money will be used to raise awareness of the condition.
She has this week reiterated a call for people to be vigilant.
She said: “We need to help others and make sure more people are made aware of the dangers of this horrific illness.
