Greggs and Costa set for former Frankie and Benny’s
Two national hospitality businesses are set to join forces to open up in a currently empty restaurant building in Uttoxeter. Two planning applications have been submitted to East Staffordshire Borough Council by a representative for Greggs for the former Frankie and Benny’s Restaurant at Dovefields Retail Park at Town Meadows Way in Uttoxeter.
Two national hospitality businesses are set to join forces to open up in a currently empty restaurant building in Uttoxeter.
Two planning applications have been submitted to East Staffordshire Borough Council by a representative for Greggs for the former Frankie and Benny’s Restaurant at Dovefields Retail Park at Town Meadows Way in Uttoxeter.
One application is for the “display of two non-illuminated fascia signs, one internally illuminated fascia sign and two internal promotional digital screens;” while the second application is for the “installation of two air conditioning condenser units” at the same site.
Within the detailed drawings accompanying the planning application, it shows that there are proposals for a Greggs in half of the building and a Costa in the other half.
The Uttoxeter Echo contacted both Greggs and Costa about the planning application to ask when they hope to be open, if permission is granted by the borough council.
A Costa Coffee spokesperson, said: “We can confirm that a planning application has been submitted for a Costa Coffee store on Dovefields Retail Park, Uttoxeter, but we are unable to share any further details at this time.”
At the time of going to print, we had not yet received a response from Greggs.
