SELFLESS pensioner, Doreen Wright has spent the past eight months fundraising for a number of charities, with her latest campaign benefiting a Cheadle charity which provides a vital service for elderly residents.
As part of her birthday wishes this year, Doreen asked family and friends to donate to Moorlands Home Link instead of buying presents for her milestone 80th birthday.
The pensioner, from Cheadle, has raised countless amounts so far this year, after raffling donations for one brave Cheadle lady, Kirstie Hancock, who climbed Kilimanjaro in March, raising money for The Donna Louise Trust.
Doreen has also raised money for Dougie Mac by selling raffle tickets and auctioning off a hand-made crocheted blanket.
She celebrated turning 80-years-old on Sunday, July 15, at a party among 47 of her nearest and dearest.
