Aimee Bramwell has set up wellbeing retreats for staff at University Hospitals of North Midlands.
Aimee, a mum-of-two from Kingsley, set up Pencil Me In while on maternity leave during lockdown.
Her aim was to promote emotional wellbeing, encourage self-care and provide a space for people to retreat to when they needed time to escape their busy day to day routine.
Pencil Me In has just hosted its second Creative Wellbeing Retreat for staff at UHNM. The retreat focused on self-care and promoted staff wellbeing to prevent burn out.
The retreat, held at the Ingestre Orangery in Stafford, included yoga, mindfulness, a creative session, meditation, sound therapy and lunch with refreshments throughout the day. Aimee hopes to provide more corporate retreats in the future to promote staff wellbeing.
Aimee said: “I’m passionate about promoting wellbeing in our community, especially after Covid, it’s so important that we remember to take care of ourselves to prevent burn out.
“Self care isn’t selfish, we can offer others the best version of our care if we make time to look after ourselves too.”
A Creative Wellbeing Retreat was also held in June for people in the community where guests purchased a space and attended for a day of relaxation, mindfulness, water colour painting and yoga.
Feedback from the events include: “It was an absolutely wonderful day, so relaxing, thoughtful and inspiring. Just truly wonderful.”
“A gorgeous few hours relaxing. I really would recommend. It was so relaxing and welcoming, I loved the meditations.”
“Aimee’s session was amazing. I’ve completely relaxed at a time when my world is so hectic.”
