Fashion Parade hit £5k charity target

By timesecholife on in All News, Uttoxeter news

A CHARITY drive at The Fashion Parade in Uttoxeter has raised £5,000 for Breast Cancer Now. The team at the store, in Uttoxeter’s High Street, have spent the whole of October raising awareness about breast cancer and funds for the charity.

On Friday, the team had a ‘Wear it Pink’ day and displayed all the prizes in their Grand Raffle, as well as offering refreshments ahead of the prize draw on Saturday.

The final push saw their fund-raising efforts reach their £5,000 target five days before the end of the month.

Store owner, Elaine Croft, said: “Thank you to all our customers for the support throughout this month.

“The Fashion Parade received a generous amount of donations, including two anonymous £500 deposits on our just giving page.

“This money is life changing. Breast Cancer Now is a charity we have worked with in the past and will continue to do our best to support them.

“Friday’s Wear it pink day was a huge success, thank you again to everyone who donated and supported this worthy cause.”

October is breast cancer awareness month, helping people across the globe to understand the signs, symptoms and impacts of the disease.

Breast Cancer Now is a charity dedicated to researching new treatments for the disease, providing support for people with breast cancer and their families and campaigning for change on behalf of breast cancer sufferers and survivors.
