Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses and those with CCTV or dashcam footage from between 00.45am and 2am on the night in question.
Detective Inspector Pete Cooke, of Staffordshire Police’s northern criminal investigation department (CID), said: “I would like to encourage anyone who was in the Hollington Road area late evening on February 23 or the early hours of February 24, to get in touch with us as you may have vital information to help us with our inquiries.
“We are particularly keen to trace a vehicle that was travelling in the direction of Tean towards Rocester and beyond during that timeframe.”
Those who believe they may have information are being urged to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook and Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 51 of February 24.
