The annual scrap metal day will be taking place at Whiston Village Hall on Saturday, July 14.
As usual, the village hall committee are asking residents and generous volunteers to get involved, to look in sheds, garages, cupboards and attics for anything metal which they no longer need.
The skip will be on the village hall car park and committee members will be accepting donations between 9am and 12pm.
A spokesman for the committee said: “Do not think anything is too small to count it all adds up.
“Also do not think anything is too large we like a challenge! And will happily collect locally.
“Upcycling is very popular and we are encouraging it.
“Anything interesting could be yours for a reasonable offer. Come down and see what we have.
“For collections ring/text 07866 676547 or 07990 876233.
“And sorry, but due to legislation we cannot accept fridges, freezers, TVs or computers.”
