DETERMINED fund-raiser, Eddie Bailey has almost hit his £10k target of raising vital funds for the charity which helped him during his own battle.
Eddie, who is from Cheadle, has been raising money for Prostate Cancer UK for the past two years, and is only around £1,000 from his initial target.
The 64-year-old has been raising funds for the charity since it helped him during his battle with cancer several years ago.
At a charity darts match at the weekend, around 40 supporters, family members and friends rallied around to help with donations.
Around £155 was raised from the charity darts night, which sees crowds gather at Oakamoor’s The Pavilion each time in a bid to help boost fundraising efforts.
Eddie told the Times and Echo: “We’ve held a few of these darts nights now, with this weekend’s seeing around 16 people take part and around 40 people turn up to support us.
