A CHEADLE GP is retiring after more than 30 years serving the people of Cheadle and the Staffordshire Moorlands.
Dr Nick Cunningham, 56, of Cheadle, is hoping to include work as a television ‘extra’ on his list of things to do during his retirement.
Dr Cunningham, bid farewell to colleagues and patients at Allen Street Clinic, Cheadle yesterday (Tuesday, March 27) ahead of his official retirement at Easter.
Originally from Yorkshire, Dr Cunningham qualified in 1985 after five years at the University of Nottingham.
His first post was at Mansfield District General Hospital where he met his wife, Elaine, who works in Cheadle and the Moorlands as a community matron.
