A CHEADLE charity has launched a new scheme for abandoned dogs – thanks to a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
Three-year-old Rio was taken into Cheadle and District Animal Welfare Society (CAWS) in November.
And volunteer Amanda O’Dwyer came up with the idea of utilising a pen in her garden to house the dog, allowing her to help him ‘learn some manners’.
Now the charity is appealing for members of the public to consider fostering unwanted dogs while they undergo training to help them find their ‘forever’ home.
