The date has been confirmed for the move from its curent location to current Pharmacy
The plans to relocate Tean Post Office have been in motion since the start of the year, and a date for the move has now been confirmed as 8th June.
The post office is opening a new Post Office ‘local’ service at Tean Pharmacy, 19 High Street, Tean, Stoke-on-Trent, ST10 4DY.
The service will launch next Thursday and will be provided at a Post Office serving point in the store, where the Post Office terminal will sit alongside the retail till.
As with any other branch, robust security procedures are in place, anyone handling Post Office transactions, including new staff, will be fully trained on all operational and service issues, including customer privacy to ensure they meet Post Office standards.
Post Office services will be available during the store’s opening hours, 9am to 6pm Monday – Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturday. The opening hours which will increase by an extra 23 hours and 30 minutes a week including opening on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday will ensure that the branch is more convenient, as people will now have more choice of when to visit.
Local residents and small business customers will be able to access the wide range of Post Office and mails services, including Special Delivery, Local Collect, home shopping returns, and make online banking cash deposits and withdrawals, withdrawals using a Post Office Card Account, send funds abroad using Moneygram, pay bills, pre-order travel money, apply for travel insurance and top up mobile phones.
The present Tean Post Office at 31 High Street, Tean, will close at 5:30pm on Tuesday 6th June. During the short period of closure before the new branch opens, people are encouraged to take advantage of the services Cheadle Post Office, 3 The Shopping Centre, Cheadle, ST10 1UY, has to offer.
