COMMUNITY leaders claim to have been given the cold shoulder in talks over the future of Cheadle library.
The High Street facility could become a community-run venture as part of a Staffordshire County Council initiative to save £1.3 million.
The proposal was discussed during a public meeting at the library last week as part of a consultation process which ends on April 1.
But members of Cheadle Town Council insist they were not asked for their views on the plan and are keen to find out why.
Cllr Dave Sargeant said: “This appears to be another of those times when the town council was not consulted about a key issue affecting the town.
