A TRIO of super-pooches graduated from police training college on Thursday after passing a six-week course with flying colours.
And one member of the group – who are now fully fledged police dogs for Staffordshire Police – has made history.
PD Cooper is the first ever Staffordshire Bull Terrier to join the force.
The talented canine was at RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre when he was selected for Staffordshire Police by Lee Webb, dog trainer for Avon and Somerset Police.
Lee said: “Staffordshire Police are leading the way in showing that there’s more to this breed of dogs as Staffies seem to get an unfair reputation.
