The Year Four children at Cheadle Primary School gathered a large amount of litter in and around The Avenue site for the recent national initiative Children’s Mental Health Week.
A spokesman at the school said: “One of the strategies the children at Cheadle Primary are using to improve their mental wellbeing is ‘Give.’
“As a year group the children decided to give back to their community by taking part in a litter pick in and around the school grounds.
“They were amazed at the amount of litter they gathered, but feel very proud of the difference they have made.
“Well done Year Four.”
