Event organiser Debra Brogarth said: “There were 19 local talented artisans who put on an impressive display of a variety of art and crafts.
“It was a lovely atmosphere and a superb venue for the occasion.
“Leigh and District WI did a fabulous job providing refreshments throughout the day.
“We had lots of delicious homemade cakes by the WI and The Farmer’s Arms pub in Leigh. The pretty vintage china was supplied by Some like it Chintz.”
Debra added: “On the day, our raffle for Cancer Research raised £115, with a further £74 so far from the sale of garden plants.
“We are really looking forward to holding two more Craft Fairs at Checkley Community Centre, the next is on Saturday, June 11, and our popular Christmas fair, on November 12, so put these dates in your diaries.”
