TAXPAYERS in Caverswall have been handed a new year boost by the parish council.
Village leaders have voted to reduce their council tax precept for the fourth year in a row.
It means an average B and D property will pay £23.21 to the council during the next financial year – a reduction of more than five per cent on the figure for 2016/17.
The parish precept was reduced by an average of more than three per cent in last year’s budget and by almost 4.5 per cent the year before.
