THIS summer saw the return of the long-awaited and for many years, much-loved, Cheadle Carnival.
Spearheaded by a community volunteer group, the summer festival made it’s comeback to the town after almost two decades.
It has now been revealed that the carnival will be returning again in 2019, and the official dates have been released.
Cheadle Carnival Committee held their annual AGM this month, where they agreed that the celebration would be held on the first weekend in July again.
So, townsfolk and visitors alike can rejoice, knowing that the parade, float procession, debonairs, party, fairground and live music will be returning once more, from Friday, July 5 to Sunday 7, 2019.
The carnival comeback took around two years of fund-raising and endless man-hours, put in by dedicated volunteers who make up the Cheadle Carnival Committee.
