Public key to new campaign

RESIDENTS and business owners are being urged to play a lead role in the revival of a community initiative.

Parish councillors have entered Blythe Bridge and Forsbrook into the Best Kept Village competition for the first time in 10 years.

And they’re calling on members of the public and traders to get right behind a campaign to spruce up the area before judging begins next month.

Peter Jones, chairman of Forsbrook parish council, said: “This is a competition that presents an opportunity to improve both villages for the benefit of everyone.

“When we took part years ago, it brought the community together and everyone rallied around to make it a brighter and prettier place.
