A couple in a Moorlands village have been getting creative to lift the spirits of their community. A couple in a Moorlands village have been getting creative to lift the spirits of their community.
Leslie Kirkland, and his wife Sonya, not only decorated their front garden in Oakamoor with lots of patriotic attire for the recent VE Day anniversary celebrations, but have also spruced up planters outside Valley Primary School, ahead of when some of the pupils went back to school.
Leslie said: “The boxes outside the school had been looking a bit tired, so we decided to do them up a bit so that they looked nice for when the kids went back to school.
“Two teachers have told us that they look good.
“A neighbour, who used to teach at the school, has walked up to look at them and has said it is fab what we have done for the children.”
