A FAMILY fun-day is set to see two Uttoxeter businesses join forces in a bid to raise vital funds for Teenage Cancer Trust.
As the long-awaited sponsored head shave draws closer, the teams at both Cod’s Corner and BEAR are working hard to finalise the preparations as part of the fun-day.
Chrissie Nicolau, co-owner of Cod’s Corner and organiser of the hair-raising event, which is set to take place on Sunday, July 8, is also part of the group of brave ladies who will be having their heads shaved on the morning.
She will be donating her hair to The Little Princess Trust.
Chrissie said: “I can’t begin to explain how grateful we are for all the support we’ve received from our local community.
“What was originally going to be a quiet head shave taking place in a local coffee house has blossomed into a huge, exciting event, and it’s all thanks to the generosity of the lovely people in Uttoxeter.”
