DRIVERS ignoring restrictions at a level crossing are putting themselves in serious danger.
Parish councillors claim motorists are disregarding yellow box junction markings and even safety barriers designed to prevent collisions between trains and vehicles in Uttoxeter Road in Blythe Bridge.
They fear it won’t be long before someone is killed and are appealing for help from the British Transport Police in a bid to tackle the issue.
Drivers attempting to avoid parking charges have been leaving their cars in nearby Caverswall Road.
But that blocks the way for other motorists and causes tailbacks across the railway.
So members of Forsbrook parish council plan to apply for double yellow lines in Caverswall Road too.
