A COMMUNITY group has hosted an open day to raise awareness about the work they do in the area. The Friends of Cecily Brook and Hales Hall Pool held their special event on grounds off Ashbourne Road in Cheadle on Saturday, June 29. The Friends are a group of people who aim to provide opportunities for members of the community to improve and promote the use of and the awareness of the Cecilly Brook and Hales Hall Pool Local Nature Reserve.
The group’s next events will be Balsam Pulls.
Meeting at South Moorlands Leisure Centre main car park off Ashbourne Road, they will take place on Thursday, July 11 from 6pm-8pm; Sunday, August 11 from 10am-3pm and; Thursday, August 15 from 6pm-8pm.
