STUDENTS in Cheadle were inspired to create their own special art work by a true expert in the field.
Portrait artist John Denaro spent the day as ‘artist in residence’ at The Cheadle Academy last week, working with students in years 10, 11, 12 and 13.
The pupils were challenged to capture faces on canvas using charcoal, with some opting for self portraits and others sketching specific people as part of their coursework.
Students were so inspired by the workshop they worked through their lunch break, earning praise from the artist.
