MONEY from a community fund will be used to help pay for repairs at 'nightmare' road in Blythe Bridge.
Residents have been campaigning for improvements at Caverswall Road for several months amid complaints of nuisance parking, potholes and flooding.
Now, a member of the parish and county council has pledged to dip into his annual allowance on helping to solve one of the issues.
Cllr Ross Ward will spend £3,000 of a community fund awarded to every county councillor to improve the drainage system in the area.
Village leaders are meanwhile pushing for other improvements in a bid to solve traffic issues on the road.
