MORE road closures are planned connected to major improvement work on the A50 at Uttoxeter.
One carriageway will be closed each night for six nights from Monday (January 29).
The closures, which take place between 8pm and 5.30am, are to create temporary narrow lanes at the junction of the A50 and A522.
Mark Winnington, Staffordshire County Council cabinet member for economic growth, said: “The project is on schedule to be completed later this year and we have a period coming up where contractors will be working close to the A50 dual carriageway.
“To keep them safe and to keep traffic moving at the same time we will be creating narrow lanes with a 50mph speed limit.”
The work means the A50 will be closed one-way between the A521 roundabout at Blythe Bridge and the B5030 McDonalds roundabout at Uttoxeter.
