YOUNG presenters are being sought to showcase Uttoxeter in a new virtual tour of the town.
The team at Redfern’s Cottage, Museum of Uttoxeter Life, is looking for up to four people to feature in the virtual tour.
Using 3D photography, the tour will allow people to explore a digitally recreated version of the town and discover its history.
The museum team are on the hunt for up to two adults and two young people aged between eight and 16 to feature as guides in the virtual tour, which has received a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Gordon Collins, curator at Redfern’s Cottage, said: “The museum received funding form the National Lottery Heritage Fund to create a virtual tour of the town centre of Uttoxeter. “Redfern’s Cottage is seeking enthusiastic people to become the face of the museum’s new virtual tour.
“The tour is made up of 360 degree photographs and will allow people to virtually explore Uttoxeter’s town centre to discover its history.”
Potential presenters do not need in-depth knowledge of the town’s history but need to be enthusiastic and confident to appear on camera.
The presenters will be filmed against a green screen in the museum and strict social distancing will be observed at all times. Virtual auditions will take place via Zoom in early December.
To apply please phone the museum on 07483 355464 or email email@example.com before November 30.
