RESIDENTS in the Uttoxeter area won't have to pay more to East Staffordshire Borough Council this year.
The authority has frozen its council tax precept requirement for the ninth year in a row despite ‘significant financial challenges’.
The decision was confirmed at a meeting last week as part of the council’s medium-term financial strategy.
The report revealed the authority has faced a cumulative reduction in formula funding of £6.5m, or 79 per cent, since austerity measures were introduced in 2011/12.
