THE former NatWest building in Cheadle could be turned into a new business hub as part of radical new plans.
The premises, which occupy a prominent position in the High Street, have been empty and boarded up since the bank pulled out of the town in October.
But news emerged this week of a move to use the building as a dedicated business centre featuring a pop-up hub for start-up firms along with offices for more established companies.
And entrepreneur Sharon Roberts, who is linked to the Team Cheadle community group, is preparing to launch a search for potential investors.
She said: “Cheadle is lacking office space for new businesses which are just starting out.
“So the idea of a business centre would be to help start-up shops and businesses make their mark and get their foot in the door.
