A DEAF youngster from Blythe Bridge has inspired a charity fund-raising drive, spear-headed by his dad.
Reece Bradbury, aged seven, watched his ‘superdad’ Dan, 27, leap from a plane last month, as well as hosting a charity race night on Friday last week.
Reece was born profoundly deaf and had to undergo an operation to insert cochlear implants at the age of just two.
Now, the youngster has seen his family and fellow residents in Blythe Bridge rally round in support of the Stoke and North Staffs Deaf Children’s Society (SNSDCS).
His parents, Dan and Zoe, from Elmwood Drive, Blythe Bridge, attend a group run by the charity along with Reece’s little brother, Logan, aged two.
Dan said: “The SNSDCS organise free days out and activities for the children and also support for the families and parents.
“It was noticing the changes in Reece’s attitude that made me want to do something to help, so last year I had a tattoo of a
cochlear implant on the side of my head, the same as Reece.
