FARMERS are being warned to be vigilant following a spate of thefts from premises across Staffordshire.
A number of farms have been targeted by thieves in recent days and police say equipment, vehicles and trailers should be stored safely and securely.
A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: “There is valuable equipment that will appeal to thieves around farm yards, in barns and outbuildings.
“It includes power tools, quad bikes and even diesel.
“There have been a few thefts at farms in Staffordshire recently and I would urge farmers to be vigilant and review their security measures.”
