We are the ONLY family run and independent newspaper and magazine business in Staffordshire and our newspapers have been established and respected in the area since 1896.
We are home to three long-running weekly local newspapers; The Cheadle and Tean Times aka The Stunner; The Uttoxeter Echo; and The Blythe and Forsbrook Times. We also produce Peeps into the Past, a bi monthly nostalgic glimpse into our photographic archives and three bi monthly glossy regional lifestyle magazines; Stone & Eccleshall Life, Leek Life and Newcastle Life.
We are a community and family orientated company and believe that with over 100 years of experience and strong local connections, we can provide our readers and advertisers with trusted, high quality publications. Being independent of any national or regional media company is extremely rare these days – we are run BY a local family FOR local families and have been doing so since our creation. In fact, three generations of the same family have now worked for the company; grandfather; father; son and daughter, as well as extended family members.
Our history and our traditional values are something that we are fiercely proud of. They make us an approachable, trusted and responsible news company that is mindful of the importance of community and will always endeavour to support the towns and the people that we serve, providing factual news and advertising. We endeavour to report on all the news hitting the headlines locally, but as independent papers we also strive to cover issues that reflect the positive news in our area.
We focus on what matters to you – individuals who go the extra mile, the fantastic work done by schools, charities and community organisations and achievements of local people which deserve recognition.
