RESIDENTS in the Staffordshire Moorlands were invited to carry out potentially life-saving training this week. Following the relocation of the defibrillator which was situated at the currently empty Alton Castle pub in Tape Street, Cheadle and is now at the Guild Hall down the road, a defibrillator training session was held at the community venue yesterday – Tuesday, March 12. The session, which saw around 40 participants, was open to anyone who uses the Guild Hall or who lives or works nearby, and was led by representatives of the AEDdonate charity which is based in Stone and is committed to improving survival from out of hospital, cardiac arrest, supporting the placement and use of an automated external defibrillators to local communities.
