A family has won a 13-year battle to have double yellow lines painted on a busy junction outside their home.
Drivers leaving their vehicles in Charles Street, Cheadle, have been causing congestion and blocking private driveways for more than a decade.
And it’s been a major issue for resident Peter Swann, who is registered as disabled and needs to park right by his home.
The 57-year-old has been calling on Staffordshire County Council to impose parking restrictions at the junction for many years.
But he was at last able to celebrate the success of his campaign when the work was carried out towards the end of the year.
